Holiday Itinerary

Itinerary

SUNDAY We journey to Scotland, making suitable stops en route, and arrive during the late afternoon.

MONDAY A morning visit to Crieff, a traditional market town set amidst Perthshire’s stunning scenery, on the edge of the Highlands overlooking beautiful Strathearn. Following a lunch stop at Crieff Visitor Centre (at own expense) we continue to Glenturret, Scotland’s oldest working distillery, for a tour. Discover the history, heritage and traditional art of single malt whisky, as we get up close to the production areas at every stage of the whisky-making process.

TUESDAY A morning at leisure to explore our base of Perth, laced with gorgeous architecture.  Perhaps visit the Perth Museum & Art Gallery, or follow the River Tay Public Art Trail.  Following  lunch back at the hotel, we head north to Pitlochry, where we have some time at leisure in this bustling and picturesque town, before our transfer to the Enchanted Forest. Following the path on foot around the forest, you are treated to a series of spectacular sound and light shows along the way.  Please wrap up warm and wear sensible footwear for this evening’s walk.

WEDNESDAY We visit Glamis Castle, the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and setting for Shakespeare’s Macbeth.  You will not fail to be touched by the magic of this castle steeped in history, legends and myths.  We continue to Dundee for a visit to the V&A museum, a design museum set within a striking building on the city's waterfront, that celebrates Scotland's design heritage and promotes Scottish design talent. (Please note, some special exhibitions may require entrance fees, which would be at own expense).

THURSDAY We commence our homeward journey, with suitable stops en route.
