Holiday Itinerary

Itinerary

MONDAY We drive to the South West, making suitable comfort stops en route.

TUESDAY Under the wing of a Blue Badge guide, we enjoy a full day touring some of the West Penwith coastline, stopping first near Marazion to view the iconic St Michael’s Mount.  Next stop is Lands End, where a short walk will take you to England’s most westerly point, boasting views of Cornwall’s rugged coastline.  We continue  to the old fishing town of St Ives with free time to wander the narrow streets full of galleries, cafes and gift shops, rounding off our day of exploration. (Please note, the coach drop off in St Ives is at the top of a hill, and many visitors opt to use the frequent shuttle bus service, approx. £3.00 per person return)

WEDNESDAY  This morning we head to Charlestown, with its majestic tall ships, a charming Grade II listed harbour and well known as a Poldark filming location. The harbour and surroundings retain much of their Georgian character with beautiful period properties sitting side by side with traditional pastel coloured fishermen's cottages and harbourside inns. We then continue to Mevagissey, a traditional Cornish fishing village, where you can wander the narrow alleyways, full of gift shops and art galleries, or perhaps sample the fish and chips!

THURSDAY A morning excursion to Padstow, one of Cornwall’s oldest harbour towns. You may wish to visit Padstow Museum (subject to opening times), home to a veritable treasure trove of local history and artefacts spanning the decades. After time exploring the picturesque harbour and medieval buildings of Padstow, we then return to our resort for an afternoon at leisure.

FRIDAY   We travel home with suitable stops en route.
