Four nights dinner bed & breakfast, Christmas day lunch, one afternoon tea, entertainment on one night
For over 200 years this hotel has welcomed guests, including royalty and National Bard, Rabbie Burns. Located in the heart of historic Stirling, with excellent shopping virtually on its doorstep, this family owned and run hotel provides traditional Scottish hospitality in modern surroundings. Facilities include Cronies Bar, Cronies Restaurant; free WiFi in public areas. Porterage is included.
Please note there are several steps from the main entrance to the reception area, and two small steps within the restaurant which is split level. The nights on which entertainment take place are subject to change.
MONDAY Outward journey with suitable stops en route, arriving in comfortable time to settle into our accommodation. Enjoy a welcome drink prior to a delicious three course dinner.
CHRISTMAS EVE This morning we enjoy a walk to the nearby Stirling Castle, widely regarded as one of Scotland’s grandest castles, with its imposing position and impressive architecture. Afterwards, we return to the hotel where afternoon tea will be served. And later, perhaps venture out into the city centre to soak up some last minute pre-Christmas atmosphere prior to dinner.
CHRISTMAS DAY Merry Christmas! Enjoy your breakfast and a lazy morning at your leisure. Later, a traditional Christmas lunch will be served, and there may even be a visit from Santa! Then enjoy a light buffet supper in the evening.
BOXING DAY Following breakfast we make a brief visit to the magnificent Kelpies monument en route to Edinburgh. Here you are free to enjoy the sights of the medieval old town and elegant Georgian new town, or perhaps bargain hunt in the Christmas sales.
FRIDAY After a hearty Scottish breakfast, we commence our return journey, making a suitable stop en route.
