Located in a pleasant semi-rural setting near the Chiltern Hills, this modern hotel is ideally situated for our itinerary. Facilities include: The Hub bar & lounge; indoor swimming pool; WiFi. The hotel has no lift; rooms are located over ground and first floor.
FRIDAY Outward journey to Waddesdon Manor, a 16th century French Renaissance style chateau, built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the 1870s, and now housing a superb collection of fine art and furniture. The flamboyant gardens are a riot of colour, with ornate fountains and statues. We continue to the hotel for our overnight stay.
SATURDAY Following an early breakfast we transfer to Blenheim Palace. To coincide with our visit, tickets also include entry to the Flower Show, an annual horticultural event featuring hundreds of garden and home exhibitors, a Grand Floral Pavilion, a Floral Art Marquee and live entertainment. We depart late afternoon and commence our homeward journey.
