MONDAY Outward journey to Paignton, where we enjoy tea/coffee on arrival at the hotel.
TUESDAY Today we explore Dartmoor National Park with the benefit of a knowledgeable and friendly local guide on board our coach. On our tour we will discover open moorlands, deep river valleys, a rich history and perhaps, if we’re very lucky, some rare wildlife.
WEDNESDAY This morning we visit the Britannia Royal Naval College at Dartmouth, to join an expert resident guide on a walking tour. We visit the heart of the College, from the elegant Chapel, through areas including the Quarterdeck, Parade Ground, Senior Gun Room and Britannia Heritage Museum. (Please note that photographic ID will be needed for access to the College, sturdy footwear is required, wheelchair access is limited and mobility scooters cannot be accommodated.) We have a short break afterwards, before joining a relaxing river cruise from Dartmouth to Totnes, where we meet our coach for the journey back to Paignton.
THURSDAY Enjoy a full day to explore the delights of Paignton at leisure.
FRIDAY Departing after breakfast we begin our homeward journey, making suitable stops en route.
