Two nights dinner bed & breakfast
A modern, stylish hotel, situated in the heart of Shropshire at the foot of the Wrekin leading into the Shropshire Hills (AONB) and perfectly located for our itinerary. Facilities include: Ironmasters restaurant; bar; leisure facilities and complimentary WiFi. The hotel has a lift, and porterage is included.
SUNDAY On our outward journey we visit the National Memorial Arboretum, the UK’s living and lasting memorial to commemorate and celebrate those who sacrificed so much for our country. We continue to the Mercure Telford Centre.
*MONDAY This morning, we now visit Attingham Park, with its open views across 200 year old parkland and the Shropshire Hills beyond. The handsome Georgian mansion which sits at the heart of the Lord Berwicks’ estate is an example of classical design and Italian influence. We then continue to Shrewsbury, one of the finest Tudor towns in England, with its half-timbered buildings, little independent shops and tea rooms. We round off the day with a 45 minute cruise on the beautiful River Severn, with tea/coffee and biscuits included.
TUESDAY After breakfast we make our way to the Black Country Living Museum. With 26 acres of living history there’s plenty to see and do. We depart mid-afternoon for the journey home.
