SATURDAY Outward journey to Durham, with a suitable stop en route. With its UNESCO World Heritage listed cathedral and castle, charming streets and pretty riverside walks, you’ll find Durham a delight to explore. Later, we make the short transfer to our hotel, for dinner and overnight accommodation.
SUNDAY Following breakfast, we make our way to Beamish, the Living Museum of the North. Set in 350 acres, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Take a tram ride back in time and become immersed in real, living history. Take a walk down an Edwardian cobbled street, chat to the cheerful costumed staff, experience life as a Land Girl, or have a go at fun 50s activities in the welfare hall. We depart in the afternoon to commence our homeward journey.
