MONDAY We travel north to Scotland, taking breaks en route. Enjoy a glass of bubbly on arrival.
TUESDAY Today we make our way to Fort William, located at the northernmost end of the long, deep Loch Linnhe with Ben Nevis towering in the background. We have free time to explore before making our way to Glen Coe where the sheer majesty of the mountain scenery will take your breath away.
WEDNESDAY A day at leisure to explore Oban, an attractive and popular resort surrounded by awe inspiring scenery. The harbour is a hive of colourful activity, with regular ferries for Mull, Iona and Staffa, as well as pleasure craft and fishing boats.
THURSDAY Our excursion today takes us along the top of Loch Awe to Inveraray, the traditional county town of Argyll on the banks of Loch Fyne. We first visit Inveraray Jail, stepping back almost two centuries in time. Explore the historic buildings and meet the costumed characters who animate the past in this unique museum. (Please note, the historic nature of the building means upper floors are reached by flights of stairs) The remainder of the day is free to explore the charming historic town.
FRIDAY We depart after our final Scottish breakfast, making suitable stops en route.
